Bills Introduced – 1-8-15

The rate of introduction is starting to slow to normal now that we are three days into the 114th Congress. Yesterday there were 61 bills introduced; only two of which might be of specific interest to readers of this blog:

HR 234 To provide for the sharing of certain cyber threat intelligence and cyber threat information between the intelligence community and cybersecurity entities, and for other purposes. Rep. Ruppersberger, C. A. Dutch [D-MD-2]

S 135 A bill to prohibit Federal agencies from mandating the deployment of vulnerabilities in data security technologies. Sen. Wyden, Ron [D-OR]

By the looks of these two bills it was cyber-retro day in Congress. We can’t be sure until the actual language shows up but it looks like CISPA is back along with Wyden’s bill to stop NSA backdoors.
